If you are a showroom looking to sell your ex-display kitchens, we are also happy to share with you a number of factors we take into account when buying an ex-display kitchen. In this Blog Post, we will provide you with an overview of the most important factors that will determine the value of your used kitchen.
Age
Firstly, when determining the kitchen value, we take into consideration the age of your kitchen. Depending on how old or young the model of the kitchen is, it may increase or decrease the selling value. A younger kitchen will most likely result in a higher value, but this is not always the case as there are more important factors we look at to determine the value of your old kitchen.
Condition
Another factor that will largely influence your kitchens value is the overall condition of the used kitchen. It doesn’t matter if you have a really old kitchen model, the better the condition, the more you will be able to sell it for. It might be useful to give it a quick clean or try and get rid of any marks, scuffs or buffs if there are any and you are going to sell your kitchen.
Branded vs Non-Branded
We also take into account where you originally bought your kitchen from. Just because your used kitchen isn’t branded, it doesn’t necessarily mean it won’t be valued with a good price, other factors that we mention in this blog are just as important. However, if you are looking to sell a branded kitchen, you are likely going to sell it for a higher price as the kitchen value is normally higher than a non-branded one.
Materials
When we value your kitchen, the materials of which it is made out of also plays a big role of how much you are going to be able to sell your used kitchen for. For example, there are many different materials that cabinets can we made out of, such as solid wood to high gloss, some will increase the value of your old kitchen. Another example are worktops, from granite or stone to corian or quartz, the material will affect the value of your kitchen.
Original Price
Finally, we also consider the original value of your kitchen. At Used Kitchen Hub, we always want you to get your money’s worth so we use the original price of your kitchen as a factor in order to give you a great price for your used kitchen. If you bought a used kitchen and it is in good condition we will still look at the original price of the kitchen model.
Each of these factors will be taken into account when we value your used kitchen. If you are interested in buying one of our used or ex-display kitchens, or selling your used kitchen, it might be helpful to have a look at the age, condition, materials and the brand to get an idea of the value of the kitchen.
